Virginia C. (Brander) DiGregorio

Virginia C. “Ginny” Brander-DiGregorio (Doucette), age 83, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2018. Virginia was the beloved wife of the late Ernest DiGregorio and John H. Brander, devoted mother of Steven K. Brander & his companion Leah Tremblay of Atkinson, NH and Kevin J. Brander & his wife Lauri of Wilmington, loving “Grammy” of Matthew Brander & his wife Valerie, Ryan Brander and Samantha Brander, great-grandmother of Ella Brander, cherished daughter of the late Clarence L. and Frances L. (Surrette) Doucette, dear sister of Carol Hanke of Tewksbury, the late Thomas Doucette, Paul Doucette, Jeanne Meuse and Dorothy Hildreth, step-mother of Michael DiGregorio & his wife Dianna of Wilmington and Louis DiGregorio & his wife Rhonda of Nashua, NH, loving “Grandma Ginny” of Rachel & Fred Oettinger, Douglas & Amanda DiGregorio, Danita & Richard LeTourneau and David DiGregorio, sister-in-law of Marion Doucette. Ginny is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, most notably Judy Hildreth who was a loving niece and companion to Ginny.

Family and friends will gather for Visitation at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Friday, January 19th from 10:00 -11:45 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 12:00 noon. Interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Memorial donations in Ginny’s name may be made to the Mission of Deeds, 6 Chapin Ave., Reading, MA 01867.

    My thoughts and prayers are with two. Auntie Ginny was a wonderful and special person. I will always have fond memories when me, Pete, Bobby, Mark would come over and watch football on the weekends. All my love from North Carolina.

    Our heartfelt gratitude for the gift that was Ginny! Your thoughtfulness was always a wonder as you remembered each birthday, anniversary and special occasion these 30 years past. The happiness you brought to Dad (Ernie) the travel and your kind care during his illness – a new family in Kevin and Steven! I will miss you most Christmas Eve when I look across the table and you are not there – or the smile as you watch the kids open generous gifts – it was our DiGregorio holiday time and so a great part of special memories- the graduations, confirmations a wedding or two as well! You will be missed dear and kind quiet Ginny but never forgotten – with love your daughter in law! Ron
