July 16th, 2017

Alice L. O’Donoghue (Butler), age 82, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2017.

Alice was born on April 3, 1935 in Woburn, MA; she was the dear daughter of the late Mark and Annie (Ogg) Butler. She was raised and educated in Woburn and a graduate of Woburn High School with the Class of 1952.

Alice moved to Wilmington in the early 1960’s where she raised her family. Alice first settled on Lawrence Street before building her dream home on Kenwood Ave. Alice was a wonderful mother and homemaker who loved to clean and keep things tidy. She was very devoted to her family and they had many great times on Kenwood Ave. throughout the years.

Alice worked hard to raise her family and provide for them; for many years, she was a Loan Officer for the Woburn National Bank in Woburn. Alice’s loved her job, her co-workers, and most of all her customer’s; she was always going “over and above” to help others. Following her retirement from the bank, Alice went to work as a medical biller for Dr. Britt’s office; she was always busy doing something.

Alice will be fondly remembered as a quiet and gentle woman who loved her family and friends with all her heart. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Alice was the devoted mother of Sean O’Donoghue & wife Patricia of Wilmington, Sharon McLellan of Freemont, NH, Keith O’Donoghue, Kathryn Norton & husband Timothy of Lawrence, Denis O’Donoghue & wife Michele of Wilmington and the late Denise McBeth.
