Alicia, I look back at all the good memories we shared together and all the times we laughed. Alicia was a gift to me that I will be forever unwrapping.
Words such as “love” and “loss” are grossly inadequate.

My gratitude for the honor of knowing Alicia and for all that she gave this world is equal to the size of her heart: immeasurable.

  9. Susan Gardner says:

Dear Vinny and Mary and family,
I am so very sorry. We will all miss that mischievous twinkle of Alicia’s eyes and big smile as she pushed us beyond our comfort zone. She really did bring us to a higher level of thinking and doing at Chauncy Hall that is for sure! And how wonderful was that! So many people have been blessed by experiencing all the goodness in her. She had such a strong love for her family, her friends, children, art and animals. Being a part of Alicia’s transition from teen to young adult will continue to remind me of the value of listening. Thank you for sharing your incredibly lovable sweet daughter. With warm regards for funny, eye rolling stories and memories that will eventually ease some of your grief.

  12. Lisa Desberg says:

    Dearest Alicia,
We connected that first year when I had you in 9th grade English . . . You were the first student (along with Devon) to whisper, “are you pregnant?” From that moment on, you went easy on me. Thanks for that. I enjoyed talking and listening and listening and talking to you throughout your four years at WHS and thereafter.
You made your mark on me.
    I miss you already.
    Wishing you peace, Lisa DesbergLisajoydesberg

  14. Kelley McQuillin says:

    To Alicia’s Family,

I am so sorry for your loss. Alicia was a wonderful girl. We had numerous memories playing BW and Wilmington hockey together. I will never forget our dinner at the pub on the Cape before going to the Vineyard. Her sign she made me still hangs in my room. A few of us hockey players are going to try to organize a game in her honor. She is missed dearly. =[

Sorry for your loss, but remember the good times. You are all in my prayers.

  15. Doug Elfman says:

It was an honor to observe Alicia develop from a quiet and sometimes angry and not so quiet person, to a thougtful and caring protector of others. Alicia was the type of person that would go out out for ice cream for herself and return with sundaes for all, whether they asked for it or not. She is also one of the few people who have chosen to punch me full force in the arm, and let me tell you it hurt. She was a physically powerful person, but also one of the sweetest and most caring individuals I have had the pleasure to meet. It was a pleasure to work for her and an even greater pleasure to work with her. I will miss you Alicia.

  16. Bev McCauley says:

Hey Alicia, the pats won, I will always think of all the most fun things when I think of you, I love you as you loved us… all the fun stuff will be associated with you because you were always my, too much fun…. I love you, forever baby RIP…..

  17. Lisa Bellavia says:

I am so happy I had the chance to know you and to have you in one of my classes. The last time I saw you was when you came to visit. You made it a point to stop by and we hugged for what seemed like five minutes. You were so happy and seemed to be on the top of the world. I will always remember you that way. You will be missed, girlie.

  18. Amanda Seebach says:

    To Alicia’s family and friends,
My words seem inadequate to describe the sadness of the news, or to appropriately express my sympathies to you as you grieve the loss of such a beautiful life. I am thankful to have known Alicia, to have watched her grow and realize that I had grown myself because of her. It truly was a gift to have had the pleasure to work with her.

Please accept my condolences. I hope that you may find peace and comfort in this time of heartache.

  19. Ray Gauthier says:

Please accept my heartfelt condolences. It was a pleasure to have known Alicia and worked with her. She was always looking out for others and helped where she could. I will truly miss her smile and her fun loving nature. Alicia always kept me on my toes. She will be missed.

  20. Mary Sullivan says:

I remember one time you were in my room for extra help and you showed me some photos of the little kids you watched. And you smiled, you really smiled from your heart as you were talking about them. At that moment, you became so much more than a student to me. You will be missed.

  21. Jonathan Perez says:

Its sad that more often than not we do not get to share the great qualities and the things that we admire with those that we hold dear while they are with us. Alicia was an amazing human being. Her dedication to others and unselfishness is something that we can all recall when we think of this wonderful individual. I was blessed with the opportunity to see her mature from a young girl to a woman and in the process impacting the lives of all those around her. She was always willing to go the extra mile for others and although sometimes did not stop to see the amazing growth she had made was always willing to help others succeed. The news saddened me deeply. I became a better professional and person because of Alicia and her smile and willingness to help others will be immensely missed in a world full of darkness and selfishness. My thoughts and prayers go to the family and friends. May you rejoice in the comfort that Alicia is now in peace.
