Allison (Kane) LoGrasso

June 27th, 2018

Allison M. LoGrasso (Kane), “Allie”, age 54, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 27, 2018, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Allie was born on February 5, 1964 in Malden, MA; she was the cherished daughter of Matthew and Ellie Kane. Allie was raised and educated in Wilmington and was a graduate of Wilmington High School with the Class of 1982. Allison went on to continue her education at Middlesex Community College in Bedford and then on to Salem State College where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing.

Allison went to work as a registered nurse at Lahey Clinic in Burlington for more than 25 years; she was very dedicated to her profession, her patients and their families. Allison had a great personality and she treated everyone with compassion and respect which made her one of the favorite nurses at the hospital.

On October 10, 1998, Allie married the “love of her life” Joe LoGrasso; they shared many wonderful times together and always had a lot of fun. Allie and Joe became parents when their daughter Marissa was born; she was the light of their lives. Allison cherished her role as a “Mom”; she always showered Marissa with unconditional love and support and beamed with pride as she spoke of her daughter.

Family was everything to Allison; she was a wonderful wife, mom, daughter, sister and aunt. Allison looked forward to family holidays, vacations, and just spending time with them. Allie had a great sense of humor, she was upbeat, fun and full of energy; everyone always a great time when they were with her.

In her spare time, Allie loved going to her family camp in New Hampshire where she enjoyed sitting by the water, taking in the nature around her and just relaxing. She was an avid sports fan who looked forward to watching the Patriots and Bruins.

Allison will be fondly remembered for her infatuation with Dave Navarro; she was undoubtedly his biggest fan and for her love of Wonder Woman. Allison will be remembered for her kindness towards everyone, her larger than life personality, but most of all for her genuine love for her family and friends. Allison will forever be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Allie was the beloved wife of Joseph R. LoGrasso, devoted mother of Marissa LoGrasso both of Wilmington, cherished daughter of Matthew and Eleanor (Roach) “Ellie” Kane of Wilmington, dear sister of Daniel Kane & his wife Lori of Wilmington, Christopher Kane & his wife Stephanie of Nashua and Ryan Kane and his wife Sarah of Topsfield. Allie is also survived by her godparents, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Saturday, June 30th at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting Hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, June 29th from 4:00-8:00 p.m.
