Anna E. Anderson

Anna E. Anderson (Mullen), age 92, of Wilmington, died peacefully on October 15, 2017, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington.

Anna was born on June 13, 1925, in Great Barrington, MA; she was the daughter of the late John H. and Ella J. (Yale) Mullen.

Anna was a resident of Wilmington for over 70 years where she raised her children Malcolm “Mac”, Roy, and Debra. Anna was a devoted and loving mother and she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Anna looked forward to visiting relatives in New Jersey and her camping trips in Maine with her family.

Anna was a hard worker; from January of 1964 until her retirement in November of 1991 she was employed as a Quality Control Lead Inspector for Sweetheart Plastics in Wilmington. Anna made many life-long friends at Sweetheart Plastics and even after her retirement she enjoyed getting together with her former co-workers and going out to dinner.

Anna will be remembered as talented crocheter who made countless gifts and afghans for her family and friends. She was an AVID Red Sox Fan who got to live through three World Series wins; this thrilled her.

Anna was a very kind and gentle lady who always put her family first; she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Anna was the devoted mother of Malcolm J. “Mac” Anderson & wife Kathleen of Tewksbury, Roy J. Anderson & wife Deborah and Debra J. Anderson all of Wilmington. Loving “Grandma” of Tammy Damiano, Derek Anderson, Kerry Meisinger, Kurt Anderson, Stephanie Becotte and Great-Grandchildren Adrianna Damiano, Ashley & Hailey Anderson, Evelyn & Caroline Meisinger. Daughter of the late John H. and Ella J. (Yale) Mullen.

Family & friends will gather for a Funeral Service at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Friday, October 20th at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Wildwood Cemetery. Visiting Hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, October 19th from 4:00-8:00 p.m.
