Barbara was born and raised in Somerville, MA and moved to Wilmington in 1965. She was a Loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, neighbor, and friend to all. Known around Wilmington as “the walking Lady”(often mistaken for her sister Dot, her walking partner), rain, sleet, or snow never stopped mom from doing what she loved–exercising. Avid world traveler with her family; she took many cruises with her brothers and sisters to Alaska, Hawaii, Caribbean Islands, Mexico, Ireland, Scotland, U. S. Virgin Islands, and Aruba. Barbara loved her active life and always made all who knew her feel good about knowing her. She positively touched everyone with love and kindness. A true humanitarian just by being herself.
