Betty J. Gantz

Betty J. (Carter) Gantz, age 68, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on January 9th, 2015, at the Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading, surrounded by her loving family. Betty was the beloved wife of Robert J. Gantz of Wilmington, loving mother of Theresa Corbett & her husband Jay of Wilmington, Kimberly Cushing & her husband Shawn of Kokomo, IN, Robert J. Gantz, III & his wife Bonnie and John Gantz & his wife Lisa all of Dracut, loving “Nanny” of Jayson Corbett, Shanon DiPaolo & her husband Christopher, Warren Thomas Kline II, Patrick Kline & his wife Nora, Stephanie Stephens & her husband Travis, Joseph Gantz, Michael Gantz, Emily Gantz, John Gantz, Jr. & his fiancé Amber Garboski, Jeremy Gantz & his fiancé Jasmine Monteer, and Rebecca Gantz. Great “Nanny” of Madelyn Corbett, Jared Corbett, Kailyn Kline, Shane Kline and Savannah Kline, cherished daughter of the late Andy and Elizabeth (Lonergan) Carter, dear sister of Joan Marie Gregory of Springfield, MO, Eugene Carter & his wife Mikki and Bruce Carter, all of Seymour, MO. Betty is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave, (Rt. 62), Wilmington, on Thursday, January 15th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 14th, from 4-8 p.m. Memorial donations in Betty’s name can be made to the VNA of Middlesex-East and Sawtelle Family Hospice House, 607 North Ave., Suite 17, Wakefield, MA 01880.
