Beverly A. (Barry) Snow

Beverly A. (Barry) Snow, age 73, of Wilmington, formerly of Tewksbury, died peacefully on August 10, 2012, following a lengthy illness.

Beverly was born in Malden, MA, on March 1, 1939, she was the cherished daughter of the late Leonard and Catherine (Dwyer) Barry.  She was raised in Medford, attended Girl’s Catholic Schools, and graduated from Medford High School with the Class of 1957.

Beverly married “the love of her life” Richard Snow on May 9, 1964, the couple lived in Cambridge for a few years before moving to Tewksbury, where they resided for over 24 years.  Beverly and Richard shared over 47 years of marriage, they were inseparable, the couple raised a beautiful daughter, enjoyed being grandparents, wintered in Florida, and traveled all over before Richard’s sudden death in December of 2011.  Everyone who knew Beverly, knew she missed Richard terribly

Before her health declined, Beverly was a very active communicant of St. William’s Parish for many years and she was one of the first female members of the Tewksbury Wilmington Lodge of Elks B.P.O.E. 2070 in Tewksbury.

Beverly and Richard moved to Wilmington 24 years ago, settling in a great neighborhood where they met countless friends over the years and enjoyed the many neighborhood celebrations and block parties.

In her spare time, Beverly loved to shop at the local malls and was pretty talented at arts and crafts.

Beverly will fondly remembered at a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, and a good friend; she will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Beverly was the beloved wife of 47 years to the late Richard L. Snow, devoted mother of Linda A. Boutoures and her husband Greg of Wilmington, loving “Nana” of Nicholas, Matthew, and Allison Boutoures, dear sister of Paul Barry and his wife Joanne of Danvers, Joan Blaine and her late husband Morris of Wakefield, the late Margaret Wall and her husband Phillip, the late Leonard Barry and his wife Dorothy, sister-in-law of Beverly and Joseph Milligan and Patricia and Borden Beek all of Brockton.  Beverly is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends gathered at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Tuesday, August 14th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St. (Rte. 38), Tewksbury at 10:00 a.m.  Interment took place Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.  Memorial donations in Beverly’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
