To Carl’s family, Thank you so much for your openness in sharing the devastation that chemical dependence brings to families. My daughter had a close call last Spring, and one of her friends passed away from this horrible disease. I pray that your candor in revealing Carl’s cause of death will help those who are still struggling with denial. My sincere condolences on your loss.

Carl this has been the absolute hardest time of my life. I miss you more than words could ever describe. I love you so much. Gio loves you so much. I’ll take care of our little boy for you because i know thats what you would want. He will know how amazing and funny and loving his dad was and what a great father you were to him. There is no one in this entire world that could ever take your place and nobody ever will. Ill never love anyone the way i love you. You truly are My soulmate and the love we shared was once in a lifetime. Despite all we have been through and all the fights we had at the end of the day we were a family and we always will be. I love you eternally and so does Gio. You will ALWAYS be the love of my life. We love and miss you so so so so much Carl. <3 love with all of my broken heart and forever your girl, <3 Alisa
