James Castellano, of Stuart, FL, formerly of Wilmington, passed away March 31, 2010 at the age of 68.

Born on July 17, 1941 in Somerville, Jim was the beloved son of the late James and Serafina “Sophie” Castellano. As a child, Jim and his family moved to Wilmington, where he lived for many years and was educated.

Jim loved to cook and bake, and opened his own restaurant, Old Nancy’s, in Georgetown, MA.

In the early 1990’s Jim moved to Florida, where he enjoyed taking care of his mother and cooking for and entertaining family and friends.

Jim loved to travel all over the world, but loved to come home to spend time with his son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren here in Wilmington. He enjoyed many vacations with them especially to Disney World and Atlantis.

Jim was the loving father of James V. Castellano and his wife Teresa, beloved “Grandpa” of Anthony, Chloe and Joseph Castellano all of Wilmington. Dear brother of Michael Castellano and his wife Lucy of Florida; Lillian Johnson of Florida, Rose Scifo of Wilmington and Anna Lupoli of Tewksbury. Jim is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Funeral Mass for Jim will be held on Saturday May 15, 2010, at St. Dorothy’s Church, Mains Street (Rte. 38), Wilmington at 12:00 noon.
