Charles I. Reinbolt

Charles I. Reinbolt, age 75, of Wilmington, died peacefully at home with his family at his side on August 26, 2013.
Born in Moline, Illinois on October 24, 1937, Charles was the dear son of the Charles and Flora (Harrington) Reinbolt.  He was raised in Southern Illinois and attended school there.  Charles enlisted in the United States Navy on January 12, 1955, while on active duty he was stationed aboard the USS Wadleigh and served our country proudly during the Korean War.  Following his honorable discharge, Charles was assigned to the Commandant First Naval District in Boston as a reservist it was here that he met his “future bride” Jeanne and the couple hit it off right away.

Charles and Jeanne were married in 1958 in Wilmington, where they lived and raised four wonderful daughters. Charles loved his family unconditionally and worked hard to care and provide for them and in turn his family thought he was the BEST dad and grandfather that anyone could ask for.  Charles enjoyed every minute he spent with his family and friends, special occasions, holidays, or just “hanging out”, Charles was always there with his great sense of humor making everyone laugh.

Charles was an avid outdoorsman, he loved camping, fishing, hunting, and for many years he and Jeanne spent time living and being the caretakers of Sandy Beach Camp Ground in Contoocook, NH.   Charles took his job most seriously, he kept the camp ground well maintained but he always made sure that all the yearly campers had a great time.

Charles will be fondly remembered as a very kind and caring man, he was gentle, loving, and generous. Charles was special not only to his family but to their friends and was lovingly known as “Grandpa” to many. Charles was a “character” at heart and will be greatly missed.
Charles was the beloved husband of Jeanne A. (Gagnon),devoted father of Denise Regan & her husband Martin of Wilmington, Bonnie Houle & her husband Ernie of Dracut, Sharon Pellerin & her husband Steve of Wilmington, and Kelly Reinbolt of Keene, NH, loving “Grandpa” of Jason Regan, Eric Regan, the late Nathan Regan, Matthew Regan, Meghan Regan, Melissa Regan, Ryan Brower, Nicholas Gray, Kymberli Trecartin, Ashley Currie, Brendan Houle, Steven Pellerin, Shayne Pellerin, and great-grandchildren Alex, Jaden, Kiara, Rylie, Sienna, Carley, and the late Logan.
