Cole, Nancy

Nancy L. Cole, age 62, a life-long resident of Wilmington died peacefully, Saturday, July 25, 2009, at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading surrounded by her loving family.

Born on July 15, 1947, in Lowell, MA, Nancy was the beloved daughter of the late George and Helen (Miller) Cole. Nancy was a graduate of Wilmington High School Class of 1965 and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business at the University of Massachusetts in Boston Class of 1969. Nancy found her niche in the Computer Science Field, she not only excelled at it, but she was very talented and well respected at teaching computer science to others. She taught in the larger hospitals in Boston such as Brigham & Women’s, Mass. General, and New England Baptist, just to name a few. She also taught at the adult education program in Woburn for many years. Prior to retirement, Nancy was an Internet Marketing Specialist for the Appleseeds Company.

In her spare time, Nancy loved to travel, she visited many places including Singapore and Hawaii, she enjoyed working in her yard, researching her family’s genealogy, and spending lots of time with her family and friends, they were most important in her life.

Nancy was the dear sister Richard G. Cole & his wife Jean of Newbury, NH, formerly of Wilmington, Edward C. Cole of Somersworth, NH, and the late Beverly A. Sullivan, Barbara F. Cole, and Linda H. Didion-Adams, sister-in-law of Richard E. Adams of North Billerica and the late David Sullivan, Nancy is also survived by her “special family” Cheryl, Derek, Hollianne, Nicole, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, one great-great-niece, and several dear friends.

Her Funeral Service will be held in the Wilmington United Methodist Church, 87 Church St., Wilmington, on Wednesday, July 29th, at 10:00 a.m. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting hours Tuesday, July 28th from 4-9 p.m. at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington.

Memorial donations in Nancy’s name may be made to the VNA of Middlesex-East & Visiting Nurse Hospice, 607 North Ave., Suite 17, Wakefield, MA 01880.
