We lived right across the street from Jordan for 13 years. We saw him almost every day. He was a wonderful man that would do anything for my family. He loved my girls and always called them all “Pretty Eyes”. He never forgot my children’s birthdays. I was very impressed with that. We moved away 2 weeks ago and I was planning to keep in touch with him. I was worried about leaving, but told him to call if he needed anything. He was like a grandpa to us. I am not going to tell my kids because I don’t think they could handle it well, because of their ages. We will never forget Jordan or the Correia family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Correia family and all of those who will miss Jordan as much as my family.

My uncle Jordan was a wonderful man. With our busy lives we don’t always get to see our aunts and uncles as often as we should…but I am so happy that I made a point to invite my uncle Jordan to my cook- outs. He would always say “I don’t know if I can make it to Stoneham, I’m getting old and I don’t like driving at night”…..he was the first one to arrive in the morning and the very last one to leave after midnight. I have some wonderful pictures and memories of our good times together. Two years ago he made a point to copy a photo of my grandparents, he took the time to go to CVS with a snapshot and had an 8 x 10 glossy photo made for me. It was so cute listening to him as he explained the process of making the photo using the self-serve machine. He told me this photo was sent special just for me and felt it was something that I should have. How thoughtful he was…I will cherish that photo forever. Not only because it’s a wonderful picture of my grandmother and grandfather but also because I had an uncle who took the time to think of me in such a fond way. To my cousins and their spouses he will truly be missed; my prayers are with you and your children at this time of sorrow.

  14. Tracy F. Phillips says:

    In Sympathy and Prayer

    What we once enjoyed
    and deeply loved
    we can never lose,
    for all that
    we love deeply
    becomes a part of us.
