  26. Nancy Hachey says:

    Dear God

Someone very special just left this earth
    Someone who knows you well
For he lived his life as you would have asked of him
And brought more joy to people than one could tell

He was someone who everyone looked up to
Someone who made people laugh and feel good
Someone who would never hesitate to offer a helping hand
He lived the way everyone should

The problem is that he left his family behind
He left his grandchildren who call him “Pa”
I’m asking you to give them strength
To be for them a special guiding star

As you know, Dave was a man of integrity
A man who had a good soul and a great heart
Someone who everyone could depend on
People seemed to know that right from the start

Please help everyone continue to believe
That there really is no end
That all who loved and admired Dave
Will be with him in the end

Your Friend from Way Back When – Nancy
