I am a teacher in Andover and Dave was one of my favorite bus drivers! He always took such great care of our children. He will be missed by many.
To the Thompson Family,
I want to offer my condolences on the passing of Dave. My thoughts and prayers are with your entire family. I have been a PE Teacher at Bancroft Elementary school in Andover for the past 18 years. Dave was way more than just a bus driver to me. Everyday I would walk my students out on my bus duty and Dave and I would point at each other as our greeting. i even got my students involved in our pointing game and we did it everday, always looking forward to when he would drive by us and usually stop and give me a different Boston Sports update. I am sad today to learn of his passing. He was a Bancroft legend and he will be deeply missed. RIP Dave. God Bless.
I am so sorry for the loss. I am one of the parents from Andover and Dave was our favorite and the best driver ever. Not only knew the area, but each child and their parents. I wish we knew about his passing. He drove my older daughter to school from day one in kindergarten now in college and started on our second daughter who is in third grade. She was so disappointed not seeing him this year. Our deepest condolences to the whole family.
My kids loved Dave as their bus driver. I also was a teacher at Bancroft and we have loved Dave throughout the years. He was a great guy and he could keep that bus in line. He will be sorely missed. So sorry for your loss.
