Sandy was married to her husband Don in 1965 and they moved to Woburn. Shortly after that, the family relocated to Billerica where they raised their three children. Sandy enjoyed spending time with her family and adored her two granddaughters. She was a courageous woman and dealt with much adversity in her life. She was truly a fighter and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

DeGrazia of Chelmsford, loving mother of Jill May and her husband Gerald of Bryan, TX, Jack DeGrazia of Tewksbury, and Arian DeGrazia of Chelmsford, devoted “Nana” of Alycia DeGrazia and Brianna May, dear sister of Sally Nicosia and her husband William of Lynn, Elaine Cutler of Londonderry, NH and Stephen Schier of Salem, MA.

  1. John MacGrath says:

To the DeGrazia Family, I didn’t know Sandra, I know one of her daughters she must have been a wonderful woman and I’m so sorry for you’re loss…..

    God saw you getting tired,
When a cure was not to be.
So He wrapped his arms around you,
    and whispered, “Come to me”.
You didn’t deserve what you went through,
    So He gave you rest.
    God’s garden must be beautiful,
    He only takes the best
And when I saw you sleeping,
So peaceful and free from pain
I could not wish you back
    To suffer that again.

    Ari,
Words cannot begin to express our sorrow in the passing of your dear mother. Although we didn’t ever have the pleasure of meeting her, we have had the great fortune to know you and there is no doubt that you got your warm, loving heart and caring nature from her. May you find peace in knowing that she is finally free from pain and with her maker. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. God bless. We love you.

  4. Nancy Volel says:

I am truly sorry for your loss and offer you this Irish Blessing:

    Remembered Joy

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free!
I follow the plan God laid for me.
I saw His face, I heard His call,
I took His hand and left it all…
I could not stay another day,
    To love, to laugh, to work or play;
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
And if my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
    A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss…
Ah yes, these things I, too, shall miss.
My life’s been full, I’ve savoured much:
Good times, good friends, a loved-one’s touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief—
Don’t shorten yours with undue grief.
Be not burdened with tears of sorrow,
Enjoy the sunshine of the morrow.
