Dianne J. (Bell) Smith, age 78, a long-time resident of Wilmington, passed away on April 1, 2021.

Dianne was the beloved wife of the late Peter S. Smith, devoted mother of Gordon Smith & his wife Tammy of Windham, NH, Barbara O’Donnell & her husband John of N. Easton, MA and Robin Smith & her husband James Michaud of Sandown, NH, loving “Gramma” of Christine Starke, Madison O’Donnell, Morgan O’Donnell, the late Samantha & Cassandra Ray, Adam Jean, David Jean, Jaclyn Michaud and Nicholas Michaud, “Great-Gramma” of Zachary, Denise, Lillian, Ethan and Maddox, cherished daughter of the late Ralph A. and Barbara (Wharmby) Bell, dear sister of Christopher Bell & his wife Karen of MI and the late Jacqueline Bell.

Family and friends will gather for Visitation at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Wednesday, April 7th from 12:00 -1:00 p.m. immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.

Memorial donations in Dianne’s name may be made to Angels Helping Animals, PO Box 120, West Tisbury, MA 02575.

    To Barbara and the Smith family. Your mom was so sweet . Such a lovely demeanor. I always enjoyed her company. Years ago , I had tire trouble in front of her driveway and she had me come in to wait for help . She made us tea and we had a nice visit. So sorry for your loss, I know she will be sorely missed .
