Donald “Mac” McNeill

Donald “Mac” McNeill, age 92, of Tewksbury, originally of Somerville, MA, passed away surrounded by his loving family on July 6, 2015.

Donnie was the beloved husband of Shirley (Sorenson) McNeill of 65 years, devoted father of Zane McNeill & and his partner Lori Muncy, Enge Murray & her husband John, Claire Babineau & her husband Thomas all of Tewksbury, the late Donald W. McNeill USMC, and Frank O. McNeill, loving “Grampa” of Monique Horsman and her husband Paul, Camille McNeill and her partner Brian Mekdecci, Marlene McNeill and her partner Mike O’Connell, Duran McNeill and his fiancé Sheila Mouleart, Christian Murray and his partner Jaymie Giuffre, Frank O. Murray and his cherished grandson the late Carl Giannelli, “Great-Grampa” of Kaylee, Nathan, and Ryan Horsman, Giovanni Giannelli and his mother Alisa Legerstrom, Bo Mekdecci and Roysin O’Connell, cherished son of the late Frank and Jessie M. (Elliott) McNeill, dear brother of Muriel McNeill of Cambridge, Frank McNeill of Winchester and the late Elliott McNeill, Gene McNeill and Rita Hartshone. Don is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Also, his beloved dog, Rusty.

Family and friends will gather for Visitation at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Friday, July 17th from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 6:00 p.m. Memorial donations in Don’s name may be made to Salvation Army, 10W Algonquin Road, Desplain, Illinois 60016-6000.

Don was retired from Teamsters Local #25 as well as co-owner of Rams Incorporated. Don also served in the United States Coast Guard – Merchant Marine during World War II.

He will be greatly missed by his children, grandchildren, as well as his great grandchildren.
