Donna Marie Harrison

July 28th, 2021

Donna Marie Harrison, age 62, of Woburn, formerly of Lynn, passed away on July 25, 2021, at the Winchester Hospital.

Donna was born on February 21, 1959, in Boston, MA; she was the daughter of the late Edward and Barbara (Johnson) Harrison. Donna was raised in the Boston area and attended school in Wakefield as part of the Metco program.

As an adult, Donna moved to Lynn where she raised her five children: Justin, India, Jared, Anthony, and Jazmin. She was also very special to Herbie, who she did not raise, but considered him her son. Donna was born to be a mother; she was patient, kind and loved her children unconditionally. She was thrilled to become a “Nunna” to her grandchildren; she loved to spend time with the kids and looked forward to playing with them. Donna was famous for her collection of pictures of her children and grandchildren. She was proud of her family and loved to share her pictures with her friends.

Donna was a woman of great faith; she looked for the good in everyone and was a wonderful friend to many. Donna was the person to call for advice since she was ready to listen and offer ways to solve the issue. She was extremely intelligent and led by example.

In her spare time, Donna took every opportunity to travel, especially to hot weather places. She collected a souvenir keychain from many places she visited. Donna loved to get her hair and makeup done; looking her best made her feel special. She was also an avid reader and loved her large collection of books.

Donna will be remembered as a beautiful, loving mother, “Nunna”, sister and aunt. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

Just found out about Donna’s passing this evening, and I am so sorry that I didn’t know sooner. Donna was one of my favorite people from our Wakefield High School Class of 76, we shared many laughs from junior high school and through our high school days. We reconnected years ago on Facebook and once again shared many laughs and stories, and it was so great to see her at one of our mini reunions and then our 40th reunion in 2016. Her humor and wisdom will always be appreciated, so sorry to Donna’s family for your great loss.

  6. Robin Standke says:

I loved seeing the pictures Donna posted of her grandchildren. She had a warm smile and I remember her as fellow classmate at WHS. We spoke some on FB. I am so sorry for her family and sending hugs and prayers.
