Eduardo M. Tavares

Eduardo M. Tavares, age 56, of Wilmington, passed away on February 27, 2020 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington.

Eduardo was the beloved husband of Natalia (Correia) Tavares, devoted father of Brian Tavares & Kelly Finn of Tewksbury and Brianna Tavares of Wilmington, loving “Vavo” of Camden Tavares, cherished son of the late Agostinho Tavares and Delerina (da Estrela Ponte) Tavares, dear brother of Olga Laranja, Jose Grilo, Maria Braz, Antonio Tavares, Agostinho Grilo, Victor Tavares, Natalia Cabral, Carlos Grilo, and Sonia Correia.  Eduardo is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather for Visitation at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Monday, March 2nd from 10:00-11:45 a.m. immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, at 12:00 noon. Interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.

Memorial donations in Eduardo’s name may be made to Boston Children’s Hospital, 401 Park Drive Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215-5301.

    Only met him a few times . I remember, at your moms house and I walk in kissing and hugging everyone. He was like who’s this? He asked that because he could see I had a bond with your family. You said , you never met Teresa? He said no and you said oh this is family. She’s been around forever. Then he gave me a shot. That was my induction to him as well. Rest Easy Eduardo you are amongst good people.

    I met Ed when Globe came to Nagle.
    On his first day he asks me ” Sir, can I back up the truck to the dock ? ”

    I reply of course but I’m not a sir I work here just like you my name is Michael. We worked well together. A friendly man whom I, as well as a boat load of people will miss.
