Edward A Conrad

Edward A. Conrad, age 90, a long-time resident of Wilmington, died peacefully on June 10, 2017, at the Winchester Hospital.

Ed was born on October 23, 1926 in Cambridge, MA; he was the dear son of the late Stanley M. and Jessie C. (Smith) Conrad.

Ed enlisted in the United States Navy on October 14, 1942, during World War II. Ed was assigned as an Aviation Repairman with
the Overhaul Unit #1 where he repaired Turrets on the Military Air Craft. Ed received several commendations includingthe WWII
Victory Medal, the American Theatre Campaign Ribbon, the Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon, and the EAME for his dedicated service to the
Country. Ed was honorably discharged in April of 1946 and returned home to his family.

Ed married his beloved wife Constance M. Marquis in 1962; the couple settled in Wilmington and shared 35 wonderful years
together before her passing in August of 1997.

For many years Ed was an active member of the Abundant Life Christian Church in Wilmington as well as the Wilmington Senior Citizens Center.

Ed is survived by his beloved family of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62) on Tuesday, June 13th for Visitation
from 12:30-1:30 p.m. immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m. Interment with Military Honors will follow in the Wildwood Cemetery in Wilmington.

In lieu of flowers donations in Edward’s memory may be made to the Abundant Life Christian Church, 173 Church Street, Wilmington, MA 01887.
