Edward H. Leonard III

September 26th, 2014

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our kind friend and colleague Edward H. Leonard III who was a longtime resident of Holden, MA.

Ed had been battling cancer that was diagnosed back in April of this year and passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at the UMASS Medical Center in Worcester, he was 62 years old.

Ed graduated in 1981 from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Ed then furthered his education at Worcester Polytechnic Institute; graduating with his Masters in Electrical Engineering in 1984.

Ed joined Analog Devices in 2003 as a member of Central Applications in Wilmington where he worked tirelessly supporting our customers over the past 11 years. His diverse experience and knowledge combined with a willingness to always help out made Ed a “go to” person for customers and ADI colleagues alike. As a friend and engineer, Ed was well respected by all and will be greatly missed.

In his spare time, Ed was an active member in the HAM Radio Community.

Our thoughts and sympathies go out to Ed’s extended family and friends.

All are welcomed to attend a Memorial Service in Ed’s honor at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Thursday, October 2nd at 11:00 a.m.

One Entry in Guest Book for “Edward H. Leonard III”

  1. Diane McHatton says:

Ed was a kind and gentle soul, always the gentleman. Working at ADI he had to deal with customers, some not so nice and some not so bright! Ed would always assist them not matter what their issues, without complaints. We will miss you around the office my friend – rest peaceful. Our thoughts and prayers for you!
