My deepest sympathy on your Mom’s passing. She was a wonderful lady and she and my Mom were definitely sisters. I always loved to come to her Alford home and play with my cousins in the woods and have a great Thanksgiving dinner!
My love to you all and I hope to be able to get up to her service.

Ellie and Doris and I all started Watertown High School way back in 1939 as freshmen, so you see, I’ve known Ellie for quite a while. When Doris and I were married, Ellie was her Bridesmaid. I remember the fun times we had at the family get-togethers in Alford. I don’t believe there was ever a closer knit family than ours. Nothing pleased her more than to trump my ace in a Bridge game. How she loved to play cards. She was like the sister that I never had, and will miss her terribly.
Please accept my love and sympathy to the family. Roy.
