Ellen E. Fillio

March 11th, 2015

Ellen E. Fillio, age 49, a life-long resident of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on March 9th, 2015 at home, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Winchester on December 21st, 1965, Ellen was the fourth out of five children of David and Louise Fillio.  Ellen attended and graduated from the Merrimack Special Education Colaborative.

Ellen loved to be entertained; she enjoyed watching television and loved music.  She loved the sound of rhythmic tapping and loved her drum, “boom boom”.  Ellen didn’t miss a trick, she was always aware of her surroundings.  She enjoyed spending time with children, especially babies and liked to watch them play around.

Ellen was always well taken care of by her family.  The loving care that she received from all of them was astounding, especially by her Mother, who devoted 49 years taking care of her daughter at home.

Ellen was the cherished daughter of Louise (Supranowicz) Fillio of Wilmington and the late David Fillio.  She was the beloved sister of Carol Fillio of Tewksbury, Paul Fillio and his wife Gina of Salem, NH, Thomas Fillio and his wife Kathleen of Newton, NH and Nancy Fillio of Reading.  Ellen was the dear aunt of Jessica Fillio, David Fillio, RaeAnna Hughes and the late Allison Fillio.  Ellen is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

All services will be held privately.  Memorial donations in Ellen’s name can be made to the charity of one’s choice.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc.

  2. Jonathan says:

My heart goes out to your family. Losing a loved one in death is very difficult to deal with. Although Ellen may no be with you, please find encouragement from this scripture, “The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever upon it.” Wouldn’t it be wonderful to see ones such as Ellen come back to life on a paradise Earth? Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
