Ernest E. Sandberg

Ernest E. Sandberg, age 92, a long-time resident of Wilmington, passed away on September 18, 2021.

Ernest was the beloved husband of Glenna F. (Creamer) Sandberg, devoted father of Karen Couture & her husband John of Mason, NH and Keith Sandberg & his wife Dawn of Tewksbury, loving “Grampy” of Kyle, Ryan and Noah, cherished son of the late Harry and Bertha (Spinney) Sandberg, dear brother of the late Frances Carbone, Marjorie Dulong and Barbara Dalton.  Ernest is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather for Visitation at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Tuesday, September 21st from 10:30-1:30 p.m. immediately followed by a Funeral Service with Military Honors at 1:30 p.m.

Memorial donations in Ernest’s name may be made to the Bedford VA, 200 Springs Road (135), Bedford, MA 01730.

Ernest proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
