Eugene A. Porfido

Eugene A. Porfido, of Peabody, formerly of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2020, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.

He was born on September 23, 1942, in Winthrop, MA. He was the son of the late Eugene and Concetta (Iantosca) Porfido. He was a graduate of East Boston High School.

He is survived by his children; Michael Porfido of Wilmington and Kristen Porfido and her husband Benjamin Wisnia of Billerica, his grandchildren Audrey, Nathan and Alex and his former wife Carol Porfido of Wilmington. He was the brother of Philip Porfido and his wife Anita of Revere and the late Frank Porfido. He also is survived by his nephews.

At the family’s request all services for Eugene will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Eugene’s memory may be made to the Jimmy Fund, c/o Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.

    Have known Gino as a friend and golf buddy for 50 years. We had many fun times. The past few years were quite difficult for him. I offer my condolences to his family and wish all the very best.

    My deepest sympathies to Gino’s family and friends. I am his neighbor and only met him a few times since I moved in in August. He was very kind. I’m very sorry to hear of hiss passing.
