Clare B. Flaherty, age 74, of Norwood, formerly of Wilmington, died Thursday, June 25, 2009, at the Norwood Hospital.
Born on July 1, 1934, in Boston, MA, Clare was the beloved daughter of the late Martin J. & Mary Ellen (Schofield) Flaherty, Clare was also the dear sister of the late Martin J. Flaherty, Sr., John Flaherty, Clement Flaherty, Mary Burke, and Patricia Lee, Sister-in-law of Virginia Flaherty of Wilmington, Clare is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family & friends gathered for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, on Saturday, June 27th at 11:30 a.m. Interment took place in the family lot at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
Memorial donations in Clare’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., Wilmington Massachusetts.
