Florence V. Kotowski

Florence V. (Clinton) Kotowski, age 91, of Wilmington, formerly of Stoneham and Cambridge, died peacefully on August 22, 2013.

Florence was born in Cambridge, MA, on August 24, 1921, she was the dear daughter of the late Thomas and Agnes (McGuire) Clinton. Florence was raised and educated in Cambridge and a graduate of St. Mary’s High School.

Florence married the love of her life Stanley Kotowski, they shared many years together and raised a beautiful and caring family of seven children.  Family was very important to Florence and she  is remembered as a wonderful mother, kind, caring, and very loving.  Florence and Stanley lived in Cambridge for many years before moving to Florida and then to Wilmington over 10 years ago.  While residing in Florida for many years, Florence became very active in her community and made countless friends.  She was always willing to help anyone in need.

Florence will be fondly remembered for her beautiful singing voice, her pleasant disposition, and most of all for her unconditional love and devotion to her family and friends.  She will be missed.

Florence was the beloved wife of the late Stanley T. Kotowski, devoted mother of Virginia Pectol & her husband Clarence of Hurricane, UT, Stanley Kotowski & his companion Maureen Ford of Wilmington, Robert Kotowski & his wife Chris of Medford, Steven Kotowski& his wife Susan of Cape Cod, Thomas Kotowski & his wife Edna of Stoneham, Maryann Kotowski & her husband Brian Ganley of Thetford, VT, and John Kotowski & his wife Catherine of Saugus, loving “Grandma” of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, dear daughter of the late Thomas and Agnes (McGuire) Clinton.  Florence was one of thirteen siblings and is survived by two sisters Mildred Noone of New Hampshire and Ruth Murnane of Florida, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends gathered at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Tuesday, August 27th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 10:00 a.m.  Interment took place in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
