Gail Marie (LeBlanc) Tucker

Gail Marie Tucker (LeBlanc), age 75, of Tyngsboro, formerly of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2016, at the Emerson Hospital in Concord following a lengthy illness.

Gail was born on April 8, 1940, in Boston, MA; she was the daughter of the late Dewey G. and Mary E. LeBlanc. Gail was raised and educated in Woburn, MA and a graduate of Woburn High School.

Gail married her beloved husband Lawrence Tucker at St. Anthony’s Church in 1960; the couple lived in Billerica for 23 years before moving to Wilmington in 1985. Gail and Larry shared more than 55 years together and raised a wonderful family. Gail was very devoted to her family; she always enjoyed her role as a wife, mother, but especially a grandmother and great-grandmother; she loved having sleep overs and cherished the time she spent with them. Gail loved cooking and everyone loved her Christmas breads, her chocolate chip pancakes, waffles, and especially her cake decorating skills. Gail made many wedding cakes throughout the years for special people in her life.

Gail and Larry loved to travel spending time in Florida, Hawaii, and on many cruises over the years. Gail had an endearing personality, she was very pleasant and easy to talk to; she always made friends wherever she went.

Gail was a very special lady; she would do anything for her family and friends and she will be truly missed by all.

Gail was the beloved wife of 55 years to Lawrence R. Tucker of Tyngsboro, loving mother of Lawrence Tucker, Jr. & his wife Rebecca of Billerica, Lynne Marshall & her husband David of Wilmington, Lissa Tucker and Kimberly Tucker, both of Tyngsboro, “Memere” of Dereck & Matthew Tucker, Hannah & Shawn Marshall, Christopher Lane & his wife Rachel, Amanda Coulter & her husband Brandon, Emily Lane and Kevin, Bryan & Jonathan Lanteigne, great “Memere” of TaraLynn, Michael & Tucker Lane and Aiden Coulter, cherished daughter of the late Dewey and Mary (Castine) LeBlanc, dear sister of Jean Corl of Florida, the late Mary Lorraine Corl and William LeBlanc. Gail is also survived by her nephew Don LeBlanc of Tyngsboro as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends will gather for visitation at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave, (Rt. 62), Wilmington, on Saturday, March 5th, from 10:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m., immediately followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery. Memorial donations in Gail’s name can be made to Boston Children’s Hospital, Attn: Development Office, 300 Longwood Ave., Boston, MA 02115.

England and in Florida. To many to mention. How kind and thoughtful you were when I was sick and you brought me a pot of chicken soup. I will miss our talks on the phone.
