Geraldine (Sanville) Santos

February 19th, 2012
Geraldine (Sanville) Santos, age 66, of Tewksbury, formerly a long-time resident of Wilmington, died unexpectedly on February 18, 2012, at Saints Medical in Lowell.
Geraldine was born and raised in Woburn, MA, she was the cherished daughter of the late Daniel and Beatrice Sanville.
Geraldine married Bob Santos in 1964, they had a good life together, raised a wonderful family, and shared over 46 years of marriage before Bob’s passing in March of 2011; Geraldine missed him terribly.   Geraldine loved being a mother and she especially loved being a “Nana” to her three beautiful granddaughters.  Following her retirement from Analog Devices in Wilmington after 25 years of dedicated service, she immediately jumped at the chance to take care of her granddaughters.  Geraldine was very talented and she loved to teach her granddaughters how to do crafts.
In her spare time, Geraldine loved to go shopping and go to dinner with her friends from Analog.
Geraldine will be remembered for her quiet nature and for her devotion to her family and friends who will miss her terribly.
Geraldine was the beloved wife of the late Robert J. Santos, devoted mother of Robert J. Santos & his wife Catherine and Daniel W. Santos & his wife Gail all of Tewksbury, loving Nana of Christine, Elizabeth, and Daniella, dear sister of Marie & Harold Skinner of Tewksbury, the late William & Gail Sanville of Connecticut, and George & Agnes Wilson of Florida, Geraldine is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

I think I have known Geraldine (did anyone really call her that??) my whole life. I can only remember good things about her, even in high school. How does one do that? She managed, and then married a nice guy. What a blessing she was and is to everyone, especially her family. My heart is heavy, but I know she went right to a huge party, with lots of hugging and laughing!!! Thoughts and prayers for her family and good friends….from heaven on earth (the Berkshires)-Anita

  4. Christine Jackson says:

To My Brother -in-Law Rob, My sister Cathy, my beautiful neice and God daughter Christine,
We know how much you will miss Nana (with the pooches). I remember how many crafts she did with you Tine and how you were the center, along with your cousins, of her and Papa’s lives. They were the perfect granparents. They went to all your recitals, basketball games and anything else you were involved with at the time. You made them so proud and I know you always will. We love all of you and wish we were there to give you all a big hug. We are thinking of you and praying for Nana.
