Herculson, Jessie

Jessie (Blaisdell) Herculson, age 108, died Monday, September 8, 2008, at Wingate of Lowell.

Jessie was delivered at home in Wilmington by Dr. Buzzell on April 20, 1900, she was the daughter of the late Charles V. & Arabella (Closson) Blaisdell.

Jessie was raised and educated in Wilmington, she attended the Walker School and graduated from Wilmington High School Class of 1918.

Prior to retirement, Jessie was an executive secretary for a brokerage firm in Boston for many years. Jessie was a member of the Historical Covered Bridge Society and various Garden Clubs. In her spare time Jessie was an excellent arts and crafts designer, receiving many awards for her creations.

Jessie was the beloved wife of the late William J. Herculson. She is survived by her brother & sister, Elliot Blaisdell & his wife Eleanor and Barbara (Blaisdell) Boisvert, Jessie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces & great-newphews.

Family and friends will gather at Wildwood Cemetery in Wilmington for a graveside service on Thursday, September 11th at 2:00 p.m.

Memorial donations in Jessie’s name may be made to West River Care Hospice, 63 Kendrick St., Needham, MA 02494.

    A more beautiful person has not passed my way in my lifetime. Jessie lived to give love and be loved and I am a better person for knowing her. I will always remember her stories of meeting Babe Ruth and watching the Lindbergh Parade. Here’s a hug for you Jessie. RIP
