Hilda C. Mugford

April 8th, 2015

Hilda C. Mugford, age 75, of Marcus Road in Wilmington, died peacefully on April 7, 2015.

Hilda is survived by her husband, Frank, her daughter Pam, and her sons, Scott and Jim. She was the proud grandmother of five: Leah, Andrew, Aiden, Nathan, and Samantha, and a loving mother-in-law to Michelle and Lesley.

Born in Chelsea, MA and a native of Malden, she moved to Wilmington with her husband in 1960. Living initially on Main Street near Silver Lake, they moved to Marcus Road in 1970 where they have lived ever since.

Hilda worked in the human resources department at the former SweetHeart Plastics plant in Wilmington before moving on to similar positions with Indian Head Bank in New Hampshire. She transitioned to Executive Secretary for the President of Fleet Bank in Boston, a position from which she retired in 2002.

Hilda loved the beach, vacationing yearly in Wells and/or York, Maine with her husband and family for decades. She was quite fond of horses, she loved her Persian cats, and she enjoyed cultivating her rose garden. She will be sorely missed.
