James M. Bruce

October 27th, 2018

James M. Bruce, “Jimmy”, age 28 of Wilmington and Tewksbury, passed away on October 26, 2018.

Jimmy came into this world on November 28, 1989, in Nashua, New Hampshire; he was the cherished son of Jim and Lori Bruce. Jimmy was raised and educated in Tewksbury, MA and was a graduate of Tewksbury High School with the Class of 2008.

Jimmy was in his second year apprenticeship with the Electrician’s Union Local 103 and was very proud to be a part of this organization. Jimmy worked hard and was eager to learn; he often spoke about the new things he was learning at work and enjoyed talking about his accomplishments with his family and friends.

Jimmy had a strong sense of commitment when it came to going to the gym and working out. He had a great physical strength and enjoyed participating in mixed martial arts.

Jimmy was known to have an inner strength and determination; much like his grandmother Judy, when he made up his mind to do something he did it and did it well.

Jimmy will be fondly remembered for his love of history, his great sense of humor and most of all his compassion towards others; he was never one to judge people and treated everyone with kindness and respect. Jimmy also had a soft side when it came to animals especially his dogs.

Jimmy loved his family and friends unconditionally; especially his parents and grandparents who simply adored him. Jimmy was a “great kid” who brought a lot of light and laughter into the world and he will forever be in the hearts of those who loved him.

Jimmy was the cherished son of James and Lori (Duggan) Bruce of Holderness, NH, formerly of Tewksbury, MA, beloved Grandson of Joan and the late Chester “Chet” Bruce and the late Joseph and Judy Duggan. Dear nephew of April Bruce, Lori Hodgson, Chip Bruce, Scott and Brenda Bruce, Joey and Carla Duggan, Frank and Maria Mearls ,Marilyn Cunningham, David and Lauren Bruce and Roger Creamer. Jimmy is also survived by many great aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.

Family and friends will gather for Visiting Hours at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Thursday, November 1st from 5:00-8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jimmy’s memory may be made to MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Ave., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
