James M. Cadman

James M. Cadman, Sr., “Jim”, age 82, of Tewksbury, former long-time resident of Billerica and Brookline passed away peacefully at the Lowell General Hospital Saints Campus on December 27, 2021, surrounded by family.

Jim was born on July 14, 1939, in Brookline, MA; he was the dear son of the late James and Mary (Ahearn) Cadman. Jim was raised and educated in Brookline, MA; graduating from Brookline High School with the Class of 1957

Jim proudly served in the United States Army from January 29, 1959 until his transfer from active duty to the Army Reserves on March 29, 1962; Jim went on to serves the country in the Army Reserves until January of 1965.

Jim worked for the B & M Railroad and Amtrak for many years; he held various positions within the companies and retired in 2001.

Jim was the devoted husband of 32 years to Catherine F. Cadman (Long), loving father of Brian Cadman and his wife Laura of Tewksbury who lovingly cared for him, Robin Gill and her husband Robert of Tewksbury, James Cadman, Jr. and his wife Corleen of Natick, John Cadman and his wife Meredith of Wakefield and Kathleen Cadman of Tewksbury, who he loved more than anything. Jim is also the cherished “Grandpa” of Kelcey, Tom, Adam, Ashley, Abby, A.J., Danny, Lizzy and Zach, he was predeceased by his sister the late Mary Cadman.

Jim’s family would like to thank the nursing staff at Lowell General Hospital Saints Campus for their kindness, compassion and care towards Jim and as well as the rest of their family.

At the family’s request all services will be private at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of the Nichols Funeral Home, Wilmington, MA.
