  1. Ernie Gerbasi says:

I knew Jane Bird before she became Jane Leary. I was the best man at her wedding and best friend to Gene long before they were married. Jane was aways a warm and welcoming young lady who became a most devoted mother and wife. Jane lived in Medford just a few steps from a park where, as a teenager, we gathered to play baseball. Jane was always Gene’s girlfriend while I was usually hanging out with some of her closest girl friends. We double dated together and spent much time enjoying each others company. In later life, I did not see her often but stayed in touch and always remembered her as one of my fondest best friends. I’m sorry I did not have a chance to see her again before her passing but extend my deepest sympathy and condolence to Gene and his family. Thank you for so many beautiful memories.
