Janice Marie Brabant (Southmayd)

Janice Marie Brabant (Southmayd), of Colorado Springs, CO formerly of Wilmington, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, in Colorado Springs, CO; she was 71.

Janice was born on May 30, 1946; she was the daughter of the late Arthur M. and Lillian R. Southmayd of Wilmington, MA.  Janice resided in Wilmington and graduated from Wilmington High School.  Janice lived in Wilmington until her marriage to her husband Richard Brabant.

Janice is survived by her son Richard Aristide Brabant Jr. and grandson Sebastian of Colorado Springs, CO, her daughter Shirley Adams & her husband Donald and Granddaughter Jessica Bedard of Winter Springs, FL; her son Robert Brabant & his wife Allison and grandsons Robert and Thomas of Wilmington, MA; her son Ronald Brabant & his wife Rhonda and grandchildren Treavor, Brooklynn and Kelsey of Colorado Springs, CO; her daughter Stacey Palm & her husband Eric and grandson Aristide of Wilmington, MA. Her siblings Clifford Southmayd & his late wife Louise of Stoneham, MA, Charles Southmayd & his wife Deborah and Thomas Southmayd & his wife Louise all of Wilmington, Claire Connelly & her husband Neal of North Carolina.  Janice is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces & great-nephews. Janice was also the sister of the late Arthur Southmayd, Merrilyn Corcoran & her husband Robert of Wilmington and James Southmayd & his wife Jeanne of Wakefield.

Janice’s family will be receiving people at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, MA on Monday, January 22nd at 11:00 a.m. with a Memorial Service celebrating her life at 11:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, kindly make a donation in Janice’s name to the Alzheimer Care Unit at Springs Village Care Center, 110 West Van Buren St., Colorado Springs, CO  80907-8400.
