Jean was born on May 5, 1953 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti; he was the cherished son of the late Antenor Francois and Venicia Etheart. Jean was educated and raised in Haiti as part of a large family of thirteen siblings.
He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy in 1982. Jean initially worked as a Regional Director Agriculturist for the southeastern regions of Haiti. He went to Paris, France and earned a postgraduate diploma in agricultural economy.
Jean came to the United States in 1990. He attended Cambridge College, where he earned his Master’s Degree in Education. While studying, he worked as a substitute teacher for the Boston Public School System.
In his spare time, Jean enjoyed cheering for his favorite basketball and soccer teams.
Jean was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle.
Jean was the beloved husband of Jocelyne (Beauzile) Francois, devoted father of Nedy Francois and Jeff Francois all of Wilmington, cherished son of the late Antenor Francois and Venicia Etheart, dear brother of Raymond Dorsainville & his wife Axionne, Serge Francois, Marie Josette Francois, Leonce Francois & his wife Suzette, Daniel Francois & his wife Gladys, Antenor Francois & his wife Mirlene, Jean Louis Auguste Francois, Luckner Francois & his wife Monette, Isna Francois, Yvette Francois, Marielle Francois and, son-in-law of Marie Carmelie Villefrenche Bauzile, brother-in-law of Jean Robert Beauzile & his wife Edmonde. Jean is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and was very special to the Francois family, the Beauzile family, the Villefranche family, the Desir family, the Guerrier family, the Supplice family, the Dorsainville family, the Phanor family, the Benjamin family, the Tibule family, the Darbuze family, the Kedo family, the Jeudi family, the Raymond family and the Simon family.
Family and friends will gather for Visitation at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Friday, December 18th from5:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 70 Concord Road, Billerica, MA on Saturday, December 19th at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
