Jeanne G. (Morneau) Marshall

Jeanne G. (Morneau) Marshall, age 86, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2020.

Jeanne was born on February 22, 1934 in Salem, MA; she was the cherished daughter of the late Ludger and Yvonne Morneau. Jeanne grew up in Salem, MA and attended Endicott College.

Jeanne worked in an accounting position in Beverly for a few years. She met her husband, Joseph Marshall and they moved to Wilmington, where they raised their four children. While being a devoted mother, she held various part-time positions in Wilmington and later worked full-time at QMI for over ten years.

Jeanne’s greatest love was for her family. Her children fondly remember her relentless care and doting support for them throughout their lives, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will always remember her for her big warm hugs and soothing smile.

Jeanne held many fond memories of time spent with her loved ones at Salem Willows, Singing Beach, and family vacations taken at Newfound Lake, NH and Wells Beach in Maine. All who had the pleasure of spending time with her, know that her love and spirit will live on for years to come.

Jeanne was the devoted wife of the late Joseph Marshall, loving mother of Daniel Marshall & wife Darleen of Westford, Kenneth Marshall & wife Maria of North Reading, Carol Rakers & husband Lawrence of Wilmington and Gail Gerardi & husband Peter of Cromwell, CT, loving “Grandma” of Katie & husband John, David, Anthony & wife Kim, Christina, Sarah, Emily, Gabriel, Samantha, Daniel, Peter, Mia, Dominic, Ryan, Devin, and Gianna, “Great-Grandma” of Emily Anne, Gabriella, John Jr., and Leah, dear sister of Roland Morneau & wife Joyce of Rochester, NH and the late Theresa Hansen & husband Vernon, sister-in-law of David Marshall & wife Terry and Teresa Marshall. Jeanne is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Dorothy’s Church, Main St., (Rte.38), Wilmington on Monday, December 28th at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. All guests attending services are required to wear a mask in church.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeanne’s name may be made to The Parkinson’s Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.

    To Carol and her family, sorry to hear about the passing of your mom, the kids grandmother and your husbands mother in law. This time of year any loss is especially hard but I want you to know signs will come and you will be in awe when they do. After my Dad passed this summer, the stories we shared from family and friends about the signs are unbelievable and really comforted all of us.
