    Arthur and Andy ,

Joan was like my second mom while I was station at Hanscom AFB, Ma. She taught me everything I knew about claims, she always open her home to families and single Airmen during the holidays. Joan knew Claims better than any paralegal or Jag in the office:) Here is Joan favorite quote in the office ” How is the government at fault”?? If you worked in claims you know what that meant:) Joan was a dedicated civil service employee but more importantly the kindness person around. She will be missed.

My condolences to Arthur and Andy.
Joan was one of the sweetest ladies I know. As a new military member coming to Hanscom AFB, she not only made me feel welcomed, but she made sure I knew my job. She had more knowledge in the area of claims than anyone, and she did her job with complete confidence. I will always appreciate and cherish the times she opened her home to the airmen in the office.
