Joanne A. Harding

May 18th, 2018

Joanne A. (Tracy) Harding, age 71, of Wilmington, formerly of Revere, entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family and dear friend Joanne DiGregorio on May 18, 2018.

Joanne was born on October 13, 1946 in Boston, MA; she was the cherished daughter of the late Ronald A. and Mary A. (Ruggiero) Tracy. Joanne grew up in East Boston and at the age of twelve, she moved to Revere with her family. Joanne graduated from Beachmont High School with the Class of 1964.

Joanne married her “sweetheart and best friend” John J. “Jack” Harding on April 28, 1968; the couple lived in East Boston before moving to Wilmington in 1979. Joanne and Jack became parents to two wonderful children; John and Tracy. Joanne loved being a mom; she showered her children with unconditional love and support throughout their lives and she was very proud of them. Joanne looked forward to her many shopping trips with her daughter Tracy; they never came home without a great bargain. Joanne especially enjoyed the holidays; she was the ultimate cook, baker and hostess; she was famous for her special Italian anise cookies. Joanne looked forward to being surrounded by her family and friends as often as possible; they shared many great times together and created lots of memories to treasure. When Joanne became “Nana” to Christian, Gabriella and Anna, her life took on more meaning; her grandchildren were her pride and joy and they brought so much love and happiness into her life.

Prior to retiring, Joanne worked in the accounting department for approximately 20 years at HUB International insurance company. Joanne’s vast knowledge in field, her great work ethic and wonderful customer service skills made her quite an asset to the Company.

Following her retirement, Joanne enjoyed traveling with family and friends. Some of their more memorable trips included Disney World with her grandchildren, Europe where she visited Italy, France, Germany, Holland and Amsterdam; everyone always had a great time traveling with Joanne. She was always up for an adventure and had a lot of fun.

Joanne will be fondly remembered as a beautiful person inside and out; she was kind, caring and loving. Joanne’s devotion to her family and friends was unwavering; there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do to help out. Joanne loved her family with all her heart and she will forever be missed; her famous quote was “Love you more . . . “.

Joanne was the beloved wife of 50 years to John J. “Jack” Harding, devoted mother of John J. Harding II & his wife Min Sun of El Paso, TX and Tracy Harding of Reading. Loving “Nana” of Christian, Gabriella and Anna Harding. Cherished daughter of the late Ronald A. and Mary A. (Ruggiero) Tracy, dear niece of Anthony Ruggiero of Saugus and the late Carmine Ruggiero and his wife Helen, special cousin of Paul & Deb Ruggiero of Peabody, sister-in-law of Marguerite Yanelli of East Boston.
