John A. Hersom, Jr., age 50, of Billerica, formerly of Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly on October 26. 2019, at the Lowell General Hospital Saints Campus.

John was born on August 29, 1969, in Medford, MA; he was the cherished son of John A. Hersom, Sr. and Maureen Duggan. John was always helpful to others; he was generous of his time and talents doing whatever needed to be done. He would help anyone in need whether he was building, putting things together, landscape work, whatever he saw that needed attention when he’d come for a visit.

John especially enjoyed his family gatherings, fishing, hunting with his father and grandfather, riding his motorcycle, getting his hands dirty while working on old muscle cars and hanging out with his best pal and dog, Macho.

John was a gentle soul with a heart of gold; he will be dearly missed by everyone.
