John L. Quinn, Jr. “Jay”

John L. Quinn, Jr., fondly known as “Jay”, a life-long resident of Wilmington,  passed away unexpectedly on August 5, 2013, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington.

Jay was born on September 12, 1957, in Winchester, MA, he was the cherished son of the late John L., Sr. & Lorraine E. (Clark) Quinn.  Jay was raised and educated in Wilmington and was a graduate of Wilmington High School Class of 1976.

Jay was a hard worker, at the time of his death he was the proprietor of a Waste Water Management Company.

Jay loved to learn, he was an avid “history buff” and watched lots of shows and movies about this subject.

In his spare time, Jay enjoyed golfing, visiting Cape Cod, his many vacations to Florida, and following sports.

Jay will be remembered as a quiet guy who loved to keep busy and hang out with family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Jay was the dear brother of Kathleen Powers & her husband Peter of Winchester, Maureen Quinn of Lowell, Barbara Savell & her husband Mark of Hudson, Timothy Quinn & his wife Kerri of West Roxbury, and Jeffrey Quinn & his wife Carroll of Tewksbury, loving uncle of Michaela & Kyle Savell, Jack & Josie Quinn, and Megan & Timothy Quinn.  Jay is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Friday, August 9th, for Visitation from 2-4 p.m. immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 4:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers donations in John’s name may be made to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave., Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451.

    Jay was one of my closest friends. I am shocked and deeply saddened by his completely unexpected passing. He was one of the most thoughtful and kindest people I have ever known….. always a smile and that infectious laugh. I will miss him more than I can say here.

    My heartfelt condolences to to Jay’s brothers and sisters and especially to my pal Jeff whose heart I know is broken. Mine is too
