Landry, Henry

Henry B. Landry passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in Wilmington on May 8th at the age of 80.

He was much loved by his wife of 57 years Robertina (Short) Landry, who survives at home. Henry was the devoted father of Henry Landry and his wife Carolyn of Poughkeepsie, NY, Carolyn Keating and her late husband David of Toms River, NJ, and Sharon Binis and her husband Michael of Loudon, NH. He loved his extended family of grandchildren, Thomas, Paul, and Cathleen Keating, Rachel and the late William Landry, Michael and Mark Perry and great-grandchildren, John and Natalie Keating, Henry was the dear brother of Margaret Bousfield of W. Wareham, MA, Betty Lou Rowe of Epson, NH, Dorothy McGrath and her husband John of Tucson, AZ, Nancy Leary of Loudon, NH, Jean Huntington and her husband Peter of N. Easton, MA, Cora Pena of Brockton, MA, Jesse Landry of Lowell, MA, and the late Robert Landry of Jobstown, NJ, Henry is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Born in Durant, Mississppi, Henry was the son of the late Henry and Bertha Mae (Clardy) Landry of Billerica. Henry lived in Wilmington for 49 years.

Prior to retiring, Henry was a truck driver for Laidlaw Company for many years and a retired member of the Teamsters Union Local 379.

Henry enjoyed many outdoor activities including sailing, fishing, boating, bike riding and swimming around Silver Lake.

Family and friends will gather for a Funeral Home Service at Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte 62), Wilmington on Thursday, May 13th at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting hours will take place on Wednesday, May 12th from 4-8 p.m.
