Louise J. (Brisbois) Kelly

Louise J. (Brisbois) Kelly, age 89, a resident of Wilmington, formerly of Somerville, died peacefully on May 25, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.

Louise was born in Somerville, MA, on August 2, 1924, to the late Louis and Marie (Walsh) Brisbois.  She was raised and educated in Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School in 1942.  Louise worked as a hairdresser and owned her own shop for many years.

Louise will be fondly remembered for her love and devotion to her family.  Sundays were always a special day spent for Louise and she thoroughly enjoyed spending it with her loved ones.  Louise and her family loved playing cards, working on jigsaw puzzles, enjoyed good food, company, and conversation.  Louise was a strong lady who always saw the best in people and she will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Louise was the devoted mother of Louise “Janice” Perry, and George Kelly and his wife Patty, loving grandmother of Michael Allen and his wife Suzanne, David Allen and his wife Maryann, Sharon Spanos and her husband Nick, Paula Baker and her husband Jeff, Priscilla Giroux and her husband Paul, Sean Kelly, Paul Kelly and his wife Andrea, the late Thomas Allen, Jr., as well as 16 great-grandchildren. Cherished daughter of the late Louis and Marie (Walsh) Brisbois, dear sister of June Scurini, John Brisbois, the late Francis Brisbois, and Marie Malone. Louise was also the beloved aunt of countless nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather for Visiting Hours at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Wednesday, May 28th from 11:00 a.m. – 1:45 p.m.  Immediately followed by a Graveside Service in the Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington at 2:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Louise’s memory to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 33 Lyman St., Westborough, MA  01581.
