Louise M. Willis (Lynch), age 95, of Reading, formerly of West Medford, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2018, at the Artis Senior Living in Reading.

Louise was born in Somerville, MA on October 18, 1923; she was the dear daughter of the late Thomas and Ellen Lynch. Louise was raised and educated in Somerville and a graduate of Somerville High School.

Louise married the “love of her life” Robert Willis in Somerville, MA; the couple moved to West Medford where they raised their family. Louise was an exemplary wife and mother who dedicated herself to caring for her two children who were born with Cystic Fibrosis. Louise always showered her family and friends with unconditional love and devotion.

Louise was an incredibly strong person and a woman of great faith; for many years she was active in St. Raphael’s Parish in West Medford and an active member of the Ladies Sodality. In her later years when she moved to Reading, she quickly became a parishioner of St. Agnes Parish where she attended Mass for many years.

Louise was very active and outgoing; later in life she enjoyed traveling the world with her husband Bob; they always had fun together. Louise and Bob were a great team; they supported each other through difficult times and truly enjoyed their life together.

In her later years, Louise’s passion became golfing; she enjoyed many years as a member of the Meadow Brook Golf Club. Louise made many friends at the club and they shared lots of great times together.

Louise will be fondly remembered for her kindness, care, and compassion towards others; she had a great inner strength but also a sly sense of humor. Louise truly loved her family and friends and they will miss her dearly.

Louise was the beloved wife of the late Robert E. Willis, devoted mother of David T. Willis & his wife Laurie of North Reading, the late Robert E. “Robbie” Willis Jr. and Laura E. Willis.
