Margaret “Marge” Champey

Margaret R. Champey (Patey), fondly known as “Marge” to her family and friends, age 71, of Lowell, formerly of Wilmington and Cambridge, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2018, at Lowell General Hospital.

Marge was born in Boston, MA on January 8, 1947; she was the dear daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Beverage) Patey.

Marge married her beloved husband Joseph Champey in March of 1970; the couple lived in Cambridge for many years where they raised their family. Marge and Joe spent many wonderful years together before his passing in October of 2011.

Marge was the devoted mother of Jamie E. Champey and his wife Debbie of Wilmington and the late Tanya M. (Champey) MacDonald and her husband Ralph MacDonald of Arlington, loving “RaRa” of Shaun and Dylan Champey and Vivian Rose MacDonald. Marge is also survived by her siblings, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Family and friends will gather for Visitation on Saturday, July 7th, at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret’s memory may be made to Local Heroes, PO Box 536, Wilmington, MA 01887.

    We spoke everyday for years Marge, you always amazed me with your
    joy of Life your love of Family and Friends and of course your sense of
    humor which you were so good at . I will miss you dearly now you
