Margaret Trimarchi

Margaret (Oliveri) Trimarchi, age 90, of Wilmington, died at home surrounded by her loving family on August 21, 2014.

Margaret was born in Brooklyn, New York, on February 6, 1924; she was the cherished only daughter of the late Salvatore and Domenica (Micali) Oliveri.

Margaret married the “love of her life” Letterio Trimarchi in 1941; they shared more than 60 years together and raised a beautiful family. Margaret and Letterio moved to Wilmington also known as “the country” in 1954. It was at their Wilmington home that they enjoyed their Sunday gatherings of family and extended family from all over; Margaret was a great cook and there was always lots of food and fun at their home.

Family was first and foremost to Margaret, she was not only a devoted wife and mother but an exceptional “Noni” to her three generations of grandchildren; it was “all about family” in her eyes and she cherished the times spent together.

In her spare time, Margaret enjoyed cooking, baking, and was known to be a talented seamstress.

Margaret will be remembered for her unconditional love and support as well as her kindness to others. She was a remarkable lady who will be greatly missed.

Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Letterio Trimarchi, devoted mother of Anthony “Nino” Trimarchi and his wife Donna, Maria Collins and her husband Brian all of Wilmington, and the late Domenica “Mima” Burpee, loving Noni of Patti Quinn, Chucky Burpee, Mark Burpee, Tracy Walthour, Jimmy Angiolillo, Lee Michael Trimarchi, Matthew Trimarchi, Stephen Trimarchi, Timothy Collins, Gabrielle Collins, and Daniel Collins, Great-Noni of Kyle, Rachel, Nina, Ayla, Cameron, Delia, Miranda, Jacqueline, Lauren, Dylan, Anthony, Olivia, Michael and Anthony, Great-Great Noni of Kaylani and Khloe, cherished daughter of the late Salvatore and Domenica (Micali) Oliveri, dear sister of the late Anthony and Joseph Oliveri.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Monday, August 25th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Thomas Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 10:00 a.m. Interment Wildwood Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday, August 24th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Donations in Margaret’s memory may be made to Susan G.
