Marjorie Ann Quinlan

Marjorie Ann Quinlan, age 85, of Tewksbury, formerly of Wilmington passed away on January 18, 2020.

Marjorie was born on April 26, 1934 in Boston, MA. She was the cherished daughter of the late John B. and Margaret G. (O’Keefe) Quinlan.  Marjorie was raised in North Cambridge and graduated from Saint John’s High School.

Upon graduation, Marjorie entered the community of the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine in Kentucky. She then furthered her education at Regis College where she earned her master’s degree in education. Marjorie continued her career in teaching for the Town of Wilmington at the Glen Road and Shawsheen Schools for 26 years.

In her spare time, Marjorie enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, Ireland and Italy, as well as spending time on Cape Cod with family and friends.

Marjorie will be remembered as a loving sister, aunt, grand-aunt, great-aunt and a friend to many.

Marjorie was the dear sister of Marie E. Blanchard and husband Robert of Falmouth, Barry J. Quinlan of Bradford and the late Terrence D. Quinlan III, loving aunt of Paula (Blanchard) DeMello and Sheila Blanchard, grand-aunt of Caitlin, Daniel, Hope, Heather and Tyler and great-aunt to Braeden, Maren and Cian.

Family and friends will gather for visitation at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Monday, January 27th from 11:00-11:45am immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Dorothy’s Church, Main St., (Rte. 38), Wilmington at 12:00 noon. Burial will be private.

Memorial donations in Marjorie’s name may be made to Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine-Motherhouse, 2645 Bardstown Rd., St. Catherine, Kentucky 40061.

    I did not have her as a teacher but I always talked to her at recess and other school events when I was in 3rd g at Glen Road School. I am sorry for your loss ,she had a heart of gold,may she be in peace
