Mary J. Buonaugurio

Mary J. Buonaugurio (Serrecchia), age 95, formerly of Medford, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2021. Mary was the beloved wife of the late John Buonaugurio, devoted mother of Angelo Buonaugurio and his wife Pam of Andover, Peter Buonaugurio and his long-time companion Maria and Marianne Kempton all of Wilmington. Loving “Grandma” of Lisa Buonaugurio, Andrea Dorenzo and her husband Geoff, Richard Buonaugurio, Vanessa Buonaugurio, Stephanie Buonaugurio, Lauren McMahan and her husband John, Great-Grandma of Charlotte Dorenzo and Charles Buonaugurio. Cherished daughter of the late Peter and Letteria (Ruggiero) Serrecchia, dear sister of the late Angelo Serrecchia. Mary is also survived by her nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather for Visiting Hours at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, MA, on Tuesday, August 10th from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 noon followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford, MA.

    I am sorry for Mary’s passing, and only just found out about it earlier this week – two weeks later, but better than not at all. I was a member of Mary’s ‘Amesbury’ family. A unique family made up of 4 families that spent 15 summers together, did a lot together, and made a lifetime of memories. Seems like yesterday, ended 41 years ago. Wouldn’t trade the memories for anything. Rest in peace, Mary. The ‘family’ may have a reunion in heaven some day. Lou Picciuto
