Morgan F. Mayo

June 14th, 2019

Morgan F. Mayo, age 22, of Boxford, formerly of Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly on June 12, 2019.

Morgan was born on July 12, 1996 in Newton, MA; she was the cherished daughter of Joseph and Tamra Mayo. Morgan grew up in Wilmington; she attended Wilmington Public Schools and was a graduate of Wilmington High School with the Class of 2013. Morgan went on to further her education; at the time of her death she was in her junior year at Arizona State University.

Morgan adored her family; she had many fond memories of family trips to Italy, the Outer Banks, and one her favorite places, Nantucket. She loved to join her family on hiking trips in the summer and fall and snow boarding in the winter months. They shared many wonderful years together at family holidays, special celebrations or just an evening “hanging out” at home.

Morgan had many close friends here is Massachusetts as well as the terrific friends she met at college. Morgan looked forward to the time they all spent together; they always had a lot of fun.

Morgan will be fondly remembered for her love of animals; especially those in rescues and shelters. She wanted to adopt each and every one of them if she could and that is where she got her beloved dog Marley who was her pride and joy.

Morgan also had a passion for helping others; she was kind, outgoing, friendly and would do anything to help anyone. There were no strangers in Morgan’s life; everyone was a friend. Morgan loved everyone unconditionally and with all her heart; she will forever be loved and missed by all.

Morgan was the cherished daughter of Joseph and Tamra “Tammy” (Bourgon) Mayo of Boxford, formerly of Wilmington, loving sister of Derek Mayo, cherished granddaughter of Ernest & Florence Bourgon and the late Joseph & Jeanne Mayo, dear niece of Ellen Mayo and Matthew & Christina Mayo, special cousin of Jessica & Thomas Nixon and their children Jackson & Mason, Daniel Camarda, Nicholas & Stacey LeBlanc, Christopher & Kristi LeBlanc and Stephanie LeBlanc. Morgan is also survived by her beloved dog Marley as well as many close friends.

    Dear Tammy
I was twice blessed to meet your husband Joe and children Derek, and Morgan. Both times were on my way to Maine and were too short but much enjoyed.
In our minds children often stay as thy were last time seen.
The photo of your daughter reminded me much of how i remember you in your later teens.
